Falk, a native of Danville, Calif., was a second-team Academic All-American and a second-team All-Pac-10 selection in 2008. The central defender started every single match over her four-year career and knocked in seven goals while adding four assists for 18 points.
Abegg, of Lake Oswego, Ore, was a second-team NSCAA All-American this past season, was named a 2008 MAC Hermann Trophy semifinalist, and also started and played every single match over her four-year career. Abegg recorded three goals and nine assists for 15 points during her time on The Farm.
As the team's heart of the defense, both central defenders helped this year's team to the nation's second-best goals-against-average of 0.317 and shutout percentage of 0.68. The two were a part of 52 shutouts in only 90 games and a cumulative shutout percentage of 0.58 over their four-year span in a Cardinal uniform.
