Lawrence Hill Named U.S. Bank Pac-10 Player Of The Week

STANFORD, Calif.- Senior forward Lawrence Hill has been named U.S. Bank Pac-10 Player of the Week for Jan. 12-18, as announced today by Commissioner Tom Hansen.
The honor is the first of Hill's career and first for a Stanford player this season. Hill is just the second Cardinal player to be earn a Pac-10 Player of the Week award over the last two seasons (Brook Lopez, Mar. 3, 2008).
In a 75-69 win over No. 22/23 California, Hill matched a career high with 25 points on 11-15 shooting from the field in 38 minutes of playing time. He also pulled down three rebounds and handed out three assists.
In 15 starts this year, Hill is averaging 14.7 points and 6.1 rebounds per game while shooting 51.2 percent from the field. He has also connected on 67.8 percent of his tries from the foul line and ranks second on the club with 39 assists.
Hill has scored in double-figures now in seven straight games and 13 times this year overall.
