USA Today/NFCA Preseason Softball Poll Released

The NFCA released it's 2009 preseason softball poll with six Pac-10 teams breaking into the top-25 rankings.  Last year's National Champion Arizona State starts the season ranked No. 2, earning just over half of the first place votes.  Following the second-ranked Sun Devils is No. 4 UCLA, No. 7 Arizona, No. 11 Stanford, No. 17 California, and No. 21 Washington.  Oregon and Oregon State also received votes in the poll.
 
The USA Today/NFCA Division I Top 25 Poll is voted on by NCAA Division I head coaches, one representing each conference. Final 2008 records are shown. First-place votes are in parentheses.
 
The first 2009 regular season poll will be released on Tuesday, February 10.
