Five Beavers Headed to NFL Combine in February

Corvallis, Ore. - Former Oregon State University football student-athletes Brandon Hughes, Keenan Lewis, Victor Butler, Andy Levitre and Sammie Stroughter have been invited to the National Football League's Combine Feb. 20-26 at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.

Butler, Stroughter and Levitre were all 2008 Pac-10 Conference First Team selections, while Hughes earned Second Team and Lewis Honorable Mention. The quintet combined to start 172 games for the Beavers, including Lewis with 47 - the third-most in school history.

Butler, who was a standout defensive end, will be working out at the Combine with the outside linebackers. Levitre, a tackle at OSU, has been invited as a guard. Hughes and Lewis are at their natural cornerback positions, as is Stroughter at receiver.

The Combine will be televised by the NFL Network.
