Blake Muller Named Pac-10 Men's Tennis Player Of The Week

STANFORD, Calif. - Stanford senior Blake Muller was named the Pac-10 Men's Tennis Player of the Week for Jan. 19 - 25, Commissioner Tom Hansen announced today.

Muller, paired with doubles partner Richard Wire, knocked off the nation's second-ranked doubles team of Robert Farah and Steve Johnson from USC, 8-4, to capture the Sherwood Cup doubles title in Thousand Oaks, Calif. Also, The Santa Barbara, Calif., native was one of four Cardinal men to advance to the second round of singles competition with a 6-3, 6-0 win over Nick Gourley of Boise State.

This is the first weekly honor for Muller and the Stanford men's team this season. The Cardinal return to action Tuesday, Jan. 27, hosting Sacramento State.
