Hall Posts Double Event Win To Lead Bruin Swim & Dive At California

Sophomore Lauren Hall posted two event wins on Saturday to lead the Bruin swim and dive team in Berkeley as the Bruins fell to California 172-123. UCLA falls to 4-4 (2-4 Pac-10) on the season. The Bruins had six event wins during the meet.
Hall won the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:18.73 and then tallied a win in the 400 IM, swimming 4:19.47.
Sophomore Sam Vanden Berge had a big win in the 1650 free as she won by nearly eight seconds over her Cal competitor with a winning time of 16:52.68. Senior Madeleine Stanton won the 100 back in a time of 56.29 and was second in the 200 back (2:00.55).
The Bruin divers captured victories on both 1M and 3M with freshman Alyssa Robinson diving a season-best 276.98 on three-meter and senior Marisa Samaniego winning one-meter (261.07). Robinson was also second on 1M (245.63).
The Bruins will continue to train for two more weeks before they head to crosstown rival USC on February 13th for the final dual meet of the season.
