Bruin Football Players Take Part in Super Bowl School Spirit Day

LOS ANGELES - A total of 12 UCLA football players, along with Dallas Cowboy cornerback Orlando Scandrick, visited the 186th Street School last Friday to take part in an event called Super Bowl School Spirit Day. Some of the activities included throwing the football around, playing basketball, reading to the students, and an autograph session. The event was a reward for the students for their hard work and dedication in the classroom.
South Youth Services, students from Loyola Marymount University, and the Key Club from Gardena High School assisted in running the special activities. Students, parents, and teachers wore their favorite jerseys and had a great time celebrating literacy and fitness for life. Every child in attendance received a free book to increase their pleasure reading materials at home, sponsored by Reading is Fundamental.

Woods - Freshman - DB, Logan Paulsen - Senior - TE, Kevin McDermott - Freshman - TE.
