UW To Celebrate National Girls & Women In Sports Day Sunday

SEATTLE -- Washington women's basketball will celebrate National Girls and Women in Sports Day in conjunction with the Huskies' home game with Stanford, Sunday, Feb. 8, at 12:30 p.m. at Bank of America Arena. The UW-KJR AM Dads and Daughters Day will also take place on Sunday.
All girls in attendance are encouraged to wear a uniform from a team they have played on and will be invited onto the court at halftime for a special presentation. Pre-game activities will be held on the concourse at the arena starting at 11:30 a.m. Husky female student-athletes (including members of the women's soccer and volleyball teams) will be signing autographs, there will be face painting and sign making stations and there will be a Junior Sportscaster contest conducted through Radio Disney.
For fans taking part in the UW-KJR AM Dads and Daughters event, a post-game Q&A will be held with UW assistant coach Fred Applin and Husky players Laura McLellan, Sarah Morton and Mollie Williams. Dads and Daughters tickets are $10 each and include one reserved game ticket and one t-shirt. Each dad and daughter much purchase a ticket. Tickets are available by clicking here and must be purchased by Sat., Feb. 7, at 5 p.m.
