Feb. 6, 2009

CORVALLIS, Ore. - After defeating Washington State last weekend, the Oregon State swim team looks to continue the streak by traveling to Boise, Idaho to take on Boise State, Saturday beginning at 12 p.m.

During the Washington State meet, the Beavers won seven of the events, with Saori Haruguchi, Kayla Rawlings and Anna Crandall securing five of the victories.

Oregon State has won 36 dual events this season by eight separate swimmers in 13 different events.

The Beavers have already qualified two swimmers to compete at the NCAA Championships. During the Husky Invitational, Haruguchi won the 200 butterfly to secure her spot at the NCAA Championships, while Rawlings placed second during the preliminaries.

Oregon State takes the pool again when they head to Federal Way, Wash. to compete in the Pacific-10 Championships Feb. 26.
