Stanford Can't Hold Off Cal Rally

BERKELEY, Calif. (AP) - Patrick Christopher scored 21 points, Jerome Randle added 18 points, seven rebounds and eight assists and California rallied to beat Stanford 82-75 on Saturday afternoon.
Jorge Gutierrez had 10 points and eight rebounds and made a key shot with 1:37 remaining to help complete the comeback for the Golden Bears (19-6, 8-4 Pac-10) on a day Cal celebrated its 100th anniversary of men's basketball.
The Bears trailed by 22 in the first half and were down by 14 at halftime before opening the second half with a 16-3 run to get back into the game.
Landry Fields scored 16 points to pace five Stanford players in double figures. The Cardinal (15-8, 4-8) made just one basket over the final eight minutes and had only one 3-pointer in the second half after making nine in the first half.
