WALNUT CREEK, Calif.--STANFORD freshman Ashley Hansen and WASHINGTON junior Danielle Lawrie were named Pac-10 Player and Pitcher of the Week for Feb. 10-16, Commissioner Tom Hansen announced today.

Hansen, in just her second collegiate weekend, hit .667 recording 10 hits in just 15 at-bats for the Cardinal.  Five of Hansen’s 10 hits went for extra bases, including three triples, a double and a three-run home run.  The Chandler, Ariz., native registered a 1.333 slugging percentage while driving in nine runs over the weekend to help Stanford finish the Campbell Cartier Classic in San Diego, Calif., a perfect 4-0.

In Stanford’s game against No. 25 Long Beach State, Hansen hit a three-run homer and finished the game with four RBI, going 3-for-3 against 49er All-American Brooke Turner.  However, in the Cardinal’s game against Utah State, the freshman inked her name in Stanford’s record book, becoming the third player in school history to hit two triples in one game.  Hansen would go on to hit another triple in Stanford’s game against 25th-ranked San Diego State, concluding a triple-triple weekend.

Lawrie, a native of Langley, British Columbia, helped push the Huskies to 9-0 on the season, for only the fourth time in program history.  The junior, going 3-0 over the weekend, did not allow a run in 18.1 innings and extended her scoreless inning streak to 28.1.  Also competing in the Campbell Cartier Classic, Lawrie allowed just five hits in three games and struck out 28 batters with just one walk.

In her first start of the weekend, Lawrie pitched a two-hit shutout, recording 12 strikeouts against UC Santa Barbara.  Next, in Washington’s game against No. 25 San Diego State, she struck out nine more batters allowing only two hits again in the contest.

After retiring three Aztec batters in Saturday’s game, Lawrie became Washington’s all-time career strikeout leader with 895, surpassing the old mark set by Jennifer Spediacci (1997-00).  Only starting the third year of her career at Washington, Lawrie now sits alone with 908 career strikeouts.
