THIS WEEK IN PAC-10 WOMEN'S BASKETBALL
After surviving the big matchup against #6/6 California over the weekend to tie for first in the Pac-10 standings, #4/4 Stanford tests its 25-game home win streak hosting Oregon State and Oregon this weekend, while #25 Arizona State, who is back in the rankings for the first time since late December, puts its school-record 11-game win streak to the test at Arizona.

Also jockeying for position as each stands at .500 in Conference play, UCLA and USC hit the road for Washington and Washington State.

This week's TV schedule includes Thursday, Feb. 19's matchup between Cal and Oregon on Comcast SportsNet Bay Area, followed by a national broadcast of the Bears and Oregon State on FSN on Saturday, Feb. 21.

    PAC-10 IN THE RANKINGS
After a big weekend which saw Stanford jump into a tie for first, the Cardinal moved up to No. 4 in both the Associated Press and ESPN/USA Today Coaches poll, while California remains in the top 10 at No. 6 in each of the rankings. Winning a school-record 11-straight games, Arizona Statejumped back into the top 25 in the writers' poll and is receiving votes by the coaches. UCLA and Oregon State have also received votes in one or both polls at various points throughout the season.

When the poll was released on Nov. 24, it was the first time two Pac-10 teams have been ranked in the top five in the same week since the final poll in 1989-90. That year, Stanford was No. 2 and Washington was No. 3. Cal also achieved a first in that Nov. 24 poll, appearing in the top five in the ranking for the first time ever.

    RAINING THREES
On Feb. 15, USC attempted a Pac-10 record-tying 37 three pointers in the loss to Arizona at Galen Center. The Women of Troy tied the record set by Stanford on Nov. 30, 2002 against Kansas State. While the number tied for the most treys attempted by a league squad, it also set the record for threes attempted in a Conference game, a mark recently set by the Cardinal on Feb. 4, 2007 vs. California.
