Feb. 20, 2009
LOS ANGELES - UCLA assistant women's soccer coach B.J. Snow has been elevated to the position of assistant head coach the school announced on Friday. Snow, who began his coaching career as a volunteer assistant at UCLA in 2006, is entering his fourth season on staff.
'B.J. has been a valuable part of our program's success,' said Jillian Ellis, who is entering her 11th season as head coach. 'His commitment and passion for UCLA is evident every day he works with our players. I am so happy for B.J. and our program that he can be recognized in this way.'
After serving in a volunteer capacity during the 2006 season, Snow was elevated to a full-time assistant position after just one season. He has been instrumental in UCLA's success, as the team has advanced to the NCAA College Cup and captured the Pac-10 in each of his three seasons.
Snow was a four-year starter for national powerhouse Indiana from 1996-99, playing on back-to-back NCAA Championship teams in 1998 and '99.
