TUCSON, Ariz. – The University of Arizona baseball team opens the 2009 season against Sacramento State tonight at 7 p.m. at Jerry Kindall Field.
The Wildcats, fresh off back-to-back 40-win seasons, will send ace Preston Guilmet to the mound tonight against the Hornets. Guilmet, the 2007 Pac-10 Pitcher of the Year, returns as UA’s Friday night starter for the fourth consecutive season.
Tickets for all three games are available online or can be purchased at the stadium beginning one hour prior to the start of each game. Fans who order online can print their tickets at home using the Print at Home option. It is a great way to avoid the gameday rush at the stadium to purchase tickets.
Fans unable to attend the games have two excellent options to follow the games this weekend. All fans can follow the game live with FREE live stats courtesy of Gametracker. Gametracker provides up-to-the minute in-game stats, and be sure to check out the in-game commentary section throughout the game with real-time updates from the press box.
If you want more than live stats, then be sure to follow the action this weekend through Arizona’s All-Access live webcasts. Arizona All-Access members can watch each and every home game live throughout the season. For more information on Arizona All-Access or to sign up today, click here.
The Wildcats will host the Hornets for the second of two games on Saturday at 6 p.m. The series will conclude on Sunday at Noon.
