Sun Devils Defeat Arizona for 12th Straight Win

TUCSON, Ariz. -- Dymond Simon scored 14 of her 18 points in the second half and No. 25 Arizona State overcame a 14-point deficit to beat Arizona 60-53 on Saturday.
The Sun Devils, who beat their in-state rival by 37 in the previous meeting this season, extended their school-record winning streak to 12 straight. ASU (20-6, 12-2) went on a 22-4 run midway through the second half before having to hang on down the stretch with free throws.
Simon made four free throws in the final minute and Danielle Orsillo added two more to seal the victory.
Orsillo finished with 11 points for the Sun Devils.
Ashley Frazier and Courtney Clements each had 13 points to lead Arizona (10-15, 3-11). Ify Ibekwe had 10 points and 17 rebounds.
