SEATTLE - Approximately 500 tickets went on sale at the Husky Ticket Office this morning for Thursday night's big Pac-10 men's basketball showdown between No. 21 Washington and 14th-ranked Arizona State.
After about 30 minutes, ticket office officials declared a sellout for the game that matches-up the top two teams in the league standings.
Washington, which is 20-7 overall and ranks 21st in both the Associated Press and ESPN/USA Today polls this week, leads the Pac-10 standings with an 11-4 mark in league play. The Huskies, which play their last four games of the regular-season at home, enter the week one-half game ahead of second-place Arizona State (10-4) and a game-and-a-half ahead of third-place UCLA and California (9-5).
Thursday's game against the Sun Devils is scheduled for an 8 p.m. tipoff and will be televised live by FSN Northwest. Saturday's contest against Arizona will begin at 12 Noon and will be televised live nationally in HD by FSN.
In other UW hoops news, the Pac-10 announced that Washington's March 8 contest against Washington State will tipoff at 2:30 p.m. and will be televised nationally by FSN. That game will mark the final home appearance for Husky seniors Jon Brockman, Justin Dentmon and Artem Wallace.
