ESPN GameDay Coming to Berkeley

ESPN's College GameDay will make its first visit to Berkeley when the national television program comes to Haas Pavilion this Saturday morning. The show, which is free and open to the public, runs from 8-9 a.m. and will be filmed in the middle of Pete Newell Court the court.
Later in the day, ESPN will air the Cal-UCLA game at 6 p.m., with the GameDay crew making live appearances at halftime and postgame.
Fans are encouraged to come out to Haas Pavilion and show their support for the Golden Bears to a national audience. Doors will open at 6 a.m. and food and beverage for the first 500 fans will be provided by Looney's Smokehouse, Odwalla, Coke and Berkeley Farms.
Once inside, fans will have the chance to win a wide variety of prizes. One lucky fan will have the opportunity to attempt a half-court shot for $17,500. Other giveaways include 35 College GameDay T-shirts, 150 hats, a Bank of the West Bear, mini basketballs signed by head coach Mike Montgomery, 20 Touchless Carwash coupons, Cal Crocs and gift certificates to Henry's, Pyramid Brewery and Looney's.
The ESPN GameDay crew that will be broadcasting live from Berkeley consists of host Rece Davis and analysts Bob Knight, Digger Phelps, Hubert Davis and Jay Bilas.
