GymDawg Journal: Haley Bogart

A 196! And a win against both Oregon State, and Illinois! What an exciting night that was. We had a short week of practice, but we went hard all three days, really focused on the details and it paid off. We not only did not have to count a fall on any event, but we hit 24 for 24 routines. It was so much fun to finally do what we knew we could do all season; and everyone came together and played a role. Although the entire night was overwhelming with emotions of excitement, the sweetest part for me was beating Oregon State, who I just watched less than a year ago compete at the National Championships.
It was also exciting for me to be able to see one of my best friends who I grew up with. She is on the OSU team, and it was fun to see her in the floor line-up.
Thank you so much to everyone who came out to support us on Saturday, we really appreciate it! It is so much fun to see some of you fans who are there every meet. We notice it and are really grateful.
We are going to put this win under our belts and use it as motivation to get back in the gym on Monday and improve. Although we did not have a fall, some of our routines were not the best we can do. That is a very exciting reality because it means we have not peaked and our score can still keep improving. We hope to see you all at our next home meet against Denver on Sunday, March 15 at 2pm. Go Dawgs!
PS. Congratulations to Sam who won Top Dawg of the week last week!
