Swimming Heads for Pac-10 Championships

CORVALLIS, Ore. - The Oregon State women's swim team heads to Federal Way, Wash. to compete at the Pacific-10 Championships. Competition begins Wednesday, Feb. 25 at 6 p.m.
On the season, the Beavers have tallied 45 dual wins on the season by eight different swimmers in 13 separate events. Senior Kayla Rawlings leads the team with 15 dual victories; three in the 500 freestyle, three in the 100 butterfly and nine in the 200 butterfly.
Senior Saori Haruguchi has nine dual wins and has already qualified for the NCAA Championships in the 200 butterfly.
Freshman Jenni Dole has made her presence in the pool known in the backstroke with her three dual wins and her times on the Oregon State all-times list. She holds the third spot in the 100 backstroke and the second spot in the 200 backstroke.
Swimmers will begin with the 200 medley relay and the 800 freestyle relay Wednesday, followed by the 500 freestyle, 200 individual medley, 50 freestyle and 200 freestyle relay Thursday. Friday, swimmers will compete in the 400 individual medley, 100 butterfly, 200 freestyle, 100 breaststroke, 100 backstroke and 400 medley relay. On the final day of competition, swimmers will compete in the 1,650 freestyle, 200 backstroke, 100 freestyle, 200 breaststroke, 200 butterfly and 400 freestyle relay.
Finals will begin every evening at 6 p.m.
All tickets will be available at the King County Aquatic Center on the day of the event only with admission being free on Wednesday, Feb. 25.
