FSN NW Airs Both Civil Wars This Week

Feb. 25, 2009

Corvallis, Ore. - It's Civil War week and FSN Northwest, the official television partner of Oregon State University Athletics, has you covered for both the men's and women's basketball games.

The weekend begins at 7 p.m. Saturday when the Ducks travel to Corvallis in a game that features announcers Brad Adam and three-time WNBA MVP Sheryl Swoopes. The Beavers will be trying to sweep rival Oregon for the first time since 1993, already capturing a 61-42 decision last month in Eugene. This week's game has big implications for seeding for the upcoming Pac-10 Conference Tournament.

Sunday the men's Civil War plays out in front of a national audience on FSN at 7 p.m. from McArthur Court in Eugene. The Beavers look to even their record in conference play, currently at 7-8, and continue the drive for a postseason berth. The men are also looking to sweep the Ducks for the first time since 1993 after defeating Oregon at legendary Gill Coliseum last month 57-54. Ted Robinson and former UCLA standout Marques Johnson will be courtside calling the action.

Both games are part of the Northwest Dodge Dealers Civil War Series, which is currently led by UO 6.5-4.5.

Beavers All Access this week debuts Wednesday at 2 p.m. The 30-minute show features interviews, recaps of last week's action and previews the week ahead.
