Meet Stanford's Pac-10 Wrestling Contingent

The 2009 Pac-10 Wrestling Championships start Sunday at Titan Gym in Fullerton and nine Stanford representatives will be there ready to battle for Pac-10 titles and berths in the 2009 NCAA Championship field. Here's an inside look at the group that's headed to Fullerton.

Matt Sencenbaugh - FR, 125 Pounds

The most noteworthy thing about my hometown: Frugal's Milkshakes
My most embarrassing moment in wrestling: Walking out of the locker room at my first high school tournament, half-eaten bagel and peanut butter in hand and realizing I am supposed to wrestle in about negative 10 seconds
Talent I would most like to have: Be a good singer or dancer... basically anything musical
The perfect meal includes: Peanut butter, cherry coke, french fries, and possibly a milkshake
When I leave Stanford I want to: Start my own company, start a family, retire by 30
My favorite class at Stanford has been: CS106A
My parents were right when they told me: I was going to be a 7 foot tall giant

Porfirio Madrigal - SO, 133 Pounds

The most noteworthy thing about my hometown: Its beauty and good people
Talent I would most like to have: Invisibility
The first sport I ever played was: Baseball
I grew up thinking I was going to be a: Lawyer

When I leave Stanford, I want to: Travel on a vacation and return to a job that I love to do

My favorite thing to do on campus is: Have dinner with friends

Cameron Teitelman - SO, 141 Pounds

A moment in my life I will always remember: I found out that I got into Stanford right before I walked out for the finals of a tournament, and had so much energy that I destroyed my opponent
Talent I would most like to have: Break dancing
The perfect meal includes: Spaghetti, steak, cheesecake
The furthest from home I have ever been is: St. Petersburg, Russia
The first sport I ever played was: Baseball
I grew up thinking I was going to be a: Doctor

Tyler Parker - JR, 149 Pounds

A moment in my life I will always remember: My first day on campus
My most embarrassing moment in wrestling: I threw up all over in my very first wrestling practice ever
Talent I would most like to have: Bostaff skills
The perfect meal includes: Syrup, I love breakfast
The furthest from home I have ever been is: Hawaii

Lucas Espericueta - SO, 157 Pounds

A moment in my life I will always remember: When we had to kill my first 4-H cow Moe when I was 8 years old...cried for a week straight
The most noteworthy thing about my hometown: If you blink while driving through it, you might miss it
My most embarrassing moment in wrestling: I got pinned in 19 seconds like a month ago...
Talent I would most like to have: Talent? Or super power? I'd like to be able to transform into a panda or panther or something else super sweet
The perfect meal includes: Bravo Pizza on 5th and 42nd in NYC - sicilian pepperoni with a ton of red pepper
The furthest from home I have ever been is: NYC I think - geography never was my best subject
The first sport I ever played was: I would run around the living room with my brother's football pads and helmet and my brother would throw pillows at me. That's a sport right?
I grew up thinking I was going to be a: Farmer like my dad
The person I would most like to meet is: Mr. T
My most prized possession is: My dog Kolbe
When I leave Stanford, I want to: Win the lotto
The most interesting job I have ever had was: Driving a cotton picker

Nick Amuchastegui - FR, 165 Pounds

The most noteworthy thing about my hometown: It is the best place on the face of the planet. no big deal.
Talent I would most like to have: To make food weightless
The perfect meal includes: Porkchop. I see you Spence.
The furthest from home I have ever been is: China, with Gentry!
I grew up thinking I was going to be a: Hillbilly!
The person I would most like to meet is: JC baby! He's the man. He's so cool, he's like....God!
I'm afraid of: Austin Quarrels. He's terrifying!
Over the summer, I: Operate equipment on the family farm, hunt, fish, hay, ride motorcycles, and tear it up with my family!

Victor Haug - FR, 174 Pounds

Jake Johnson - JR, 184 Pounds

My motto: Fight for the best of possible futures and rejoice in the way things are, for when you realize that nothing is lacking the whole world belongs to you

The most interesting job I have ever had was: Working with the Stanford Executive Program for 2 years
