Beavers Continue to set Records

FEDERAL WAY, Wash. - Anna Crandall of the Oregon State women's swim team set another school record, this time in the 100 freestyle, when she finished the event with a time of 49.69 during the final day of competition at the Pacific-10 Championships.
Crandall set six school records during the Pac-10 Championships. She was part of the 200 medley, 400 medley and 800 freestyle relay who set a school record, and she also set the school records in the 50 freestyle and 200 freestyle.
Keri Holmstrom moved onto the Oregon State all-times list in the 100 freestyle when she finished the race in 51.67, putting her in eighth. Kate Hagan also moved up on the Oregon State all-times list when she completed the 1,650 freestyle in 16:35.36 putting her in second and beating her previous time of 17:07.76.
During the 200 butterfly, Saori Haruguchi finished in second with a time of 1:52.81, while Kayla Rawlings finished in 10th with a time of 1:57.43, setting a new personal record. Rachael Wahl finished the event in 2:00.19, while Brittney Iverson completed the event in 2:01.37.
Haruguchi has already qualified for the NCAA Championships in the 200 butterfly and the 100 butterfly.
Oregon State finished the evening by setting one final school record in the 400 freestyle relay when they finished they event in 3:22.92, beating the previous time by nearly two seconds. Haruguchi led the Beavers during the relay, followed by Crandall, Rawlings and Iverson as the anchor.
Oregon State finished in eighth with 412 points after the final day of competition. The Beavers set nine school records and qualified several NCAA Championship consideration times during the Pac-10 Championships.
The Beavers take to the pool again March 19 when they head to College Station, Tex. to compete at the NCAA Championships.
