No. 3 Stanford Takes Conference Lead by Downing USC, 85-74

LOS ANGELES (AP)--Kayla Pedersen had 20 points and 10 rebounds to lead No. 3 Stanford past Southern California, 85-74, on Sunday and into sole possession of first place in the Pac-10.
Jayne Appel also scored 20 points for the Cardinal, which won its 11th straight game.
Stanford (24-4, 14-1 Pac-10), entered the game tied for first place in the Pac-10 with No. 4 Cal, which lost Sunday to UCLA and fell to 23-4, 14-2.
The Cardinal was leading 47-45 when Pedersen sparked a 10-1 run that put Stanford safely ahead. She had five points in the spurt.
Cardinal freshman Nnemkadi Ogwumike scored 17 points, two shy of her career high, and had eight rebounds.
Camille LeNoir scored 17 for USC (14-13, 8-8), including 12 in the second half. She also had nine assists.
USC's Heather Oliver had 12 points and teammate Nadia Parker 15.
