Four Future Beavers to Play in Les Schwab Bowl

Corvallis - Four future Oregon State football student-athletes will have one more chance to compete with their high school peers at the this summer's Les Schwab Bowl. The 6A/5A All-Star game is scheduled for June 20 at Hillsboro Stadium west of Portland.
The Beavers will be represented on the North Team by Lake Oswego High School standouts quarterback Jack Lomax and wide receiver Micah Hatfield. Lomax passed for 5,285 yards and 63 touchdowns in his career, while Hatfield was on the receiving end of many of those tosses with 868 yards and 13 touchdowns in just his senior season.
Dallas High School's Michael Beaton and West Albany High School's John Braun will play for the South Team. The linemen are expected to play on both sides of the ball in the all-star game. Beaton was a first team All-Willamette Valley Conference selection as both an offensive and defensive lineman, while Braun earned first team all-state pick as an offensive lineman.
The current cast of Beavers open spring practice March 30, with the annual Spring Game set for May 2 at Reser Stadium.
