Hey Dawg Fans,
With 10 meets under our belts now, the end of season is approaching quickly. Keeping that in mind, the team has continued to work hard in preparation for some of the most important meets of the year such as the Regional meet that we will be hosting here at UW on April 4. Also, this next weekend we will be hosting a meet against the University of Denver. This meet will be especially meaningful to our seniors on the team because it will be our team's Senior Night where we specifically honor and recognize our seniors for all their hard work, dedication, leadership, and contribution to the University of Washington.
This past Friday we had a tri-meet with Oregon State and SPU at OSU. Because OSU is in Corvallis, OR, and close enough to drive to, we got to take the bus. It was so much fun! Without the stress of flying, and with the luxury of having so much space, it was a very relaxing and comfortable ride. The meet itself had its ups and downs. With Ashley and Kristen L. out of the meet, there was a great need for the team to step up and do what we know we can. On the downside we did have to count a few falls, but on the positive upside we still received our season high on bars with a 48.9. Great job bar team!! This meet was also OSU's Senior Night, so not only were their seniors honored, but ours were as well. Another upside for me was that my parents were able to come watch the meet. Being from California, it is always nice to see familiar faces from home!
I would also like to say thanks to all the Husky fans that showed up! It was great to see some purple amidst the orange. We really appreciate all your support, and can't wait to see everyone at our next home meet against Denver!! GO DAWGS!
