Series History & Scouting Report
Against the New Mexico Lobos, the Sun Devils currently hold a 35-6 overall record since their first match-up in 1976. The Lobos enter the weekend with an 8-10 record overall and an even 2-2 record playing in neutral sites.
The DePaul Blue Demons are a less familar foe, one that ASU holds a 4-1 all time record against since 2000. The Sun Devils might be looking for a little vengence this time around as the last time ASU met DePaul it was in the 2007 WCWS, where ASU fell 3-1 to be knocked out of the tournament. DePaul comes in with a 9-4 record and a vicious 8-3 record in neutral sites.
Against the Nebraska Cornhuskers, ASU is 18-10 against them since they first met in 1971.
Against the MIchigan Wolverines the Sun Devils just barely hold the all-time record of 8-7 over the Blue & Gold since first locking up in 1988. Michigan comes into the weekend with a 16-6 record.
Against the Fighting Irish, ASU holds a 9-2 overall record since they first met up in 1995. The Sun Devils have a storied history against Notre Dame at the Judi Garmen, as in 2006 they lost in a walk-off battle and in 2007 Katie Burkhart pitched a perfect game against the Irish...what this year holds? No one knows....
