Bruins Compete at Southern Highlands Collegiate Championship

The 19th-ranked UCLA men's golf team will compete in the Southern Highlands Collegiate Championship this weekend at the Southern Highlands Golf Club in Las Vegas.
First round tee times begin Fri., Mar. 13 from the first and 10th holes at 8 a.m. Fifty-four holes will be played over three days.
The 15-team field is loaded with highly ranked teams: No.1 Georgia, No.2 USC and third-ranked Oklahoma State are among the seven Top 10 teams in the field.
The field also includes nine of the nation's Top 10 individuals, including USC's Matthew Giles and Jamie Lovemark and Oklahoma State' Rickie Fowler and Trent Leon.
UCLA freshman Gregor Main was ranked 17th, prior to finishing in a tie for 16th on Mar. 9 at the General Jim Hackler Invitational, hosted by Coastal Carolina. Main leads the Bruins with a 72.2 scoring average and two Top 10 results.
Completing UCLA's lineup will be senior Erik Flores, sophomores Philip Francis and Connor Driscoll and freshman Beau Schoolcraft. Flores and Francis will be making their sixth starts of the season, Schoolcraft his fifth and Driscoll his fourth.
