Haruguchi, Crandall and Rawlings Travel to NCAA Championships

CORVALLIS, Ore. – Last season Saori Haruguchi became the first NCAA Champion in the 200 butterfly for the Oregon State women’s swim team; this year she looks to hold on to her title by making her fourth trip to the NCAA Championships.
Haruguchi, a seven-time All-American, will also compete in the 200 individual medley and the 100 butterfly.
Crandall will be competing in the 100 butterfly, the 100 freestyle and the 200 freestyle, while Rawlings competes in the 200 butterfly.
Haruguchi will lead off the Beavers by competing in the 200 individual medley Thursday, March 19, with Crandall competing in the 200 freestyle and in the 100 butterfly Friday, March 20. Haruguchi will also be competing in the 100 butterfly with Crandall. During the final day of swimming, Crandall will compete in the 100 freestyle while Haruguchi and Rawlings compete in the 200 butterfly. The preliminaries will begin at 9 a.m. (PST) with the finals following at 5 p.m. (PST) everyday.
Oregon State finished 21st last year with 45 points during the NCAA Championships.
