Oregon State meets up with Oregon for the first time since the 1981 season Friday at PK Park in Eugene. The Civil War, presented by the Northwest Dodge Dealers, starts at 3 p.m. PT.

Jorge Reyes threw seven strong innings, striking out a career-high 11 as the Beavers defeated Hawai'i, 8-4, to cap a five-game homestand on Monday. John Tommasini went 3-for-4 to pace the Beavers, while he, Logan Lotti and Adalberto Santos each drove in two runs. Reyes allowed just four hits and three runs to improve to 3-1 on the year.
First Time Since 1981
The Civil War matchup is the first since the 1981 season as the Ducks ended a 28-year drought without playing baseball. Oregon State holds the lead in the series, 150-146. The Beavers also have a two-game win streak in the series.
The Past Weekend
The Beavers went 5-0 this past weekend, and in doing so, flexed their offensive and pitching muscles. Oregon State averaged 10.6 runs and 11.4 hits per game. Pitching-wise, the Beavers posted an ERA of 1.60 and allowed a total of 29 hits - or an average of 5.8 per game.
OSU sophomore John Tommasini is the brother of UO outfielder Caleb Tommasini.
Notes Of Importance
Four Beavers take significant hit streaks into the game: Adalberto Santos is at 13 games, both Ryan Ortiz and Joey Wong have hit in five straight and Jared Norris is at four.
The Beavers are on a five-game winning streak, their longest since finishing the 2007 season having won 10-in-a-row.
Closer Kevin Rhoderick has allowed 20 hits in 34 1/3 career innings of work. The right-hander, however, has never allowed an extra-base hit.
OSU is 8-0 this season when John Wallace hits in the first two spots of the batting order.
The game is the sixth consecutive in the state of Oregon for the Beavers, who will play five more after Friday's game.
Oregon State is 8-4 in day games this season.
