USC Sweeps LMU in Women's Rowing

Marina del Rey, Calif. - The USC rowing team beats LMU in a dual meet on Saturday in Marina del Rey, Calif. USC had a strong showing, despite the varsity eight facing a strong headwind during their race. Overall conditions were decent as they raced against the incoming tide.

In the varsity eight, USC persevered through the tough headwind to beat LMU and finish with a time of 6:52.12. In the second eight, USC finished with a time of 6:47.35, almost forty seconds faster than LMU. The varsity four `A' boat dominated the competition, finishing in first with a time of 7:32.36, twenty seconds faster than USC's `B' boat and almost a minute faster than LMU, who came in at 8:29.2.

USC head coach Zenon Babraj said that he was pleased with today's races and that the team is looking forward to the San Diego Crew Classic, which is the next race for the Women of Troy. USC will travel to San Diego's Mission Bay for the two-day event next Saturday and Sunday, April 4-5.
