Beaver Nation Online Presents 2008 Football Games to Remember
March 31, 2009
Corvallis, Ore. -
Some had already written the 2008 Beaver football team as a disappointment after opening the year with losses at Stanford and Penn State, and make no mistake it was a critical game three contest when the previous season's Sugar Bowl participant Hawai'i ventured to Reser Stadium for a mid-September showdown.
Little did 'Beaver Nation' know that this was the start of a long run that pushed Oregon State to the brink of the Rose Bowl. The game marked Jacquizz Rodgers' first 100-yard rushing game (110), quarterback Lyle Moevao was superb passing for 268 yards and three touchdowns, and the Beaver defense stuffed the Warriors' vaunted offense.
You can relive that balmy Saturday afternoon in its entirety as Beaver Nation Online, your official audio/video source, brings you the FSN Northwest airing of the game. Every Tuesday and Thursday through the month of April BNO will present another full-length 2008 game to subscribers. Thursday it's one of the biggest upsets in Beaver football history when a national audience on ESPN witnessed the No. 1 Trojans fall again in Corvallis.
