No. 11 Women of Troy Travel to San Diego for Crew Classic

The No. 11 Women of Troy will travel to Mission Bay, Calif. for the San Diego Crew Classic, which will take place on Saturday (April 4) through Sunday (April 5). This will be the first true test for USC this season, after a strong showing last week in a dual against LMU.
On Saturday USC will begin in heat B of the preliminaries for the Collegiate Varsity Whittier-Jessop Cup. This heat is scheduled to go off at 9:00 A.M. with competition from Washington State, Wisconsin, UCLA and Miami.
Following at 9:40 a.m. the preliminaries for the Collegiate JV Jackie Ann Stitt Hungness Trophy will begin. USC is in heat A and will meet Michigan, Sacramento State, Miami and Kansas State.
At 10:30 a.m. USC's novice squad will be participating in heat A of the preliminaries of the Collegiate Novice Laurel V. Korholz Perpetual Trophy against OSU, Kansas State, Miami, UCI, UCSB and Sonoma.
Rounding out the first day of preliminary competition for the Trojans will be heat A of the Open Carley Copley Cup at 1:10 p.m. against UCI, UCSD, LARC, UCD Alum B and SCU Alumni.
The top three finishers in each heat of the Jessop-Whitter Cup and Jackie Ann Stitt Hungness Trophy preliminaries will advance to the grand final for their respective event. Fourth through sixth place in each preliminary heat will compete in the petite final. In the women's novice and open division, only the top two finishers in each preliminary heat will advance to the grand final, with the petite final comprised of third and fourth place finishers from each heat.
