SEATTLE - Third-ranked Arizona State completed a three-game sweep with a 6-2 win over the Washington baseball team Sunday at Husky Ballpark.

Husky senior Jorden Merry (1-1) took the loss for the UW. In his three and one-third innings, he allowed five runs on three hits and six walks. Husky freshman reliever Andrew Kittredge put in a good outing, pitching four and two-thirds innings and allowing only one unearned run.
Arizona State (23-5 overall, 8-1 atop the Pac-10 standings) opened the scoring in the second as shortstop Drew Maggi drove in a pair with a one-out single to left, giving the Devils a 2-0 lead.
In the fourth, the Devils broke the game open with four runs. One came across on an errant throw to second a stolen base attempt. A second scored on a bunt single from Raoul Torrez and the last two came across on a single from Matt Newman, boosting the lead to 6-0.
Washington (10-18 overall, 1-5 in the Pac-10) got on the board for the first time in the sixth when Kyle Conley followed a Jake Rife single with a two-run homer to left field. The home run was the 10th of the year for Conley, tying him with ASU's Carlos Ramirez for the league lead.
Tonight, the Huskies head over to Spokane, where they'll take on Gonzaga Monday at 6:30 p.m. and Tuesday at noon. The game vs. UBC originally scheduled for Tuesday has been cancelled. Next Thursday through Saturday, California visits Husky Ballpark for a three-game Pac-10 series.
