Busy Baseball Stretch Continues At Gonzaga
April 6, 2009
SPOKANE, Wash. - The Husky baseball team continues a congested stretch of games tonight with the first of two games vs. Gonzaga at Patterson Sports Complex. Game time tonight is 6:30 p.m. while tomorrow's game gets underway at 12:00 p.m.
Live audio of both games will air on the Dawg Channel here at gohuskies.com.
Washington (10-18 overall, 1-5 in the Pac-10 Conference) will send sophomore southpaw Adrian Gomez to the hill to square off with Bulldogs lefty Reedy Berg, who struck out 10 Huskies in just five innings of work in a 7-4 Gonzaga win last Tuesday. The Bulldogs are 20-8 overall and 4-2 in the West Coast Conference.
After the two games in Spokane, the Dawgs return to Husky Ballpark for a three-game series against Pac-10 rival California. Due to Easter Sunday, the entire Pac-10 schedule this weekend will be played Thursday through Saturday. The UW-Cal games will begin at 6:30 p.m. Thursday and Friday and at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
A couple of notable changes to the schedule: Tuesday's originally scheduled exhibition game vs. the University of British Columbia has been cancelled. Also, only the Thursday game vs. Cal will air on live radio (KKNW AM-1150). Fans can catch the other two games, Friday and Saturday, on the Dawg Channel.
