Krais Gets NCAA Mark In Heptathlon At RJ/JJK Invite

Freshman Ryann Krais picked up an NCAA provisional qualifier in the heptathlon on Friday as she placed third overall at the Rafer Johnson/Jackie Joyner Kersee Invitational. Krais scored 5220 points in the seven event competition.
Krais opened up the day with a long jump mark of 17-5.25 (645 pts.) for the third-best jump of the competition. In the javelin, she had the second-longest mark at 103-4 (505 points) and then won the 800m in a time of 2:20.69 for 814 points. Her two-day score is one of the top-15 heptathlon marks in the NCAA this season.
