Oregon State takes on BYU in the opener of a two-game midweek series at Goss Stadium. First pitch Monday is scheduled for 5 p.m. PT.

Joey Wong went 3-for-5 and Jared Norris hit a home run for the second consecutive game and the Beavers closed out their series with Arizona with a 8-3 win. Jorge Reyes threw 7 2/3 innings, scattering eight hits and three runs while striking out five. The win gave the Beavers a 2-1 series victory over the Wildcats and the team's first series win in Tucson since 1963.
Ortiz On A Streak
Ryan Ortiz is on a six-game hit streak entering the game with BYU, and is 14-for-26 (.539) during that stretch. Ortiz stretched it three games over the weekend in fine fashion, going 8-for-14 (.571) against Arizona.
Jared Norris became the first Beaver to hit home runs in back-to-back games this season when doing so in the last two games at Arizona. He is the first OSU player to do since Joey Wong against Arizona State last season.
Six-Game Streak Against BYU
Head coach Pat Casey is 6-0 against BYU, and the Beavers have won every game over the Cougars since 1995.
Notes Of Importance
In the two games against BYU last season, the Beavers batted .425 with 37 hits. Of those 37 hits, 13 (35 percent) went for extra bases.
Ryan Ortiz went 4-for-9 against BYU last season, collecting four RBI, a double and a triple.
