No. 16 Bruin Men To Face No. 1 Oregon In Dual Meet Battle
April 15, 2009
The 16th-ranked Bruin men's track and field team will head to Eugene, OR this Saturday to compete in an old school dual meet battle with the No. 1 Ducks.
Last season, the Bruins lost 92-69 on a cold, dreary day in which it snowed and hailed. This year, the weather forecast is more favorable for the Bruins with mild temperatures and no rain expected.
The meet will be televised live in Eugene and a web broadcast from 1-3 pm will also be available for a fee. Live stats can be found here.
The men head to Eugene with a strong and talented team that will give the Ducks a run for this year's dual meet crown. Jumper Nelson Rosario will join the team late Friday night after finishing practice with the football team, similar to Darius Savage last season who flew in the day of the meet to help the men's team score points.
While most of the team will be in Eugene, some distance runners and vaulters will stay closer to home to compete at the Beach Invitational in Norwalk, CA (Cerritos College) or Mt. SAC Relays in Walnut, CA.
