Women's Golf At Lady Buckeye Invite
April 15, 2009
COLUMBUS, Ohio -- The University of Washington women's golf team travels to Ohio for the Lady Buckeye Invitational at the Scarlet Course on The Ohio State University Golf Club this weekend.
The Huskies, ranked No. 43 by Golfweek, take on a field that includes a pair of top-25 teams and a number of top golfers. Against such a field, the Huskies will take a lineup of Molly Aronsson, Christina Yoon, Sadena Parks, Anya Alvarez and Karinn Dickinson. The lineup is a direct result of the Huskies' finish at the Lady Gator Invitational earlier this month, which saw Aronsson finish runner-up. It was the Washington junior's best finish at a college tournament.
The Huskies will face a field that includes Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kansas State, No. 20 Kent State, No. 21 Michigan State, Minnesota, Nebraska, Northwestern, Ohio State, Penn State, Rollins and Wisconsin. Kent State was the 2008 Champion. The tournament will begin at 8:30 a.m. on both Saturday and Sunday by way of the shotgun start, but with two rounds on Saturday. Live scoring will be available for both rounds on Golfstat.com.
