Stanford Continues Its Winning Ways At The Stanford Invitational

REDWOOD SHORES, Calif. - The second day of the Stanford Invitational saw the Stanford men's rowingteam continue its strong showing. All three of the Cardinal boats won theirrespective duals against Oregon State.
In the premier event, the Stanford varsity boat outpaced Oregon State whileposting a time of 5:50.5. The second varsity boat won its bout with OSUwith a time of 6:06.3 while the final race of the day saw the youngStanford frosh boat defeat OSU, clocking a 6:01.8.
'Today was Redwood Shores at its best, tremendous weather with flat, fair conditions coupled with the country's top rowing programs,' said freshman coach Pete Giese. 'The racing was very good. We are pleased with the performance of all of our boats today. Oregon State brought great intensity and focus to the races today. Our hats go off to them for some great racing.'
The racing for Stanford continues tomorrow as the Cardinal eights will lineup against the defending national champions, second-ranked Wisconsin.
