Women's Soccer To Play FC Gold Pride In Spring Match

STANFORD, Calif. - The Stanford women's soccer team has added a fifth date of competition to the spring schedule, and will take on the WPS' Bay Area FC Gold Pride on Tuesday, May 5 at 5 p.m. at Laird Q. Cagan Stadium.

Fans who attend will be able to see some familiar faces, as former Cardinal standouts Rachel Buehler and Nicole Barnhart are on the active 18-woman roster for the Gold Pride, while recent alumnus Marisa Abegg is a development player. Albertin Montoya, the volunteer assistant coach from the 2008 season, heads the coaching staff for the Bay Area professional side.

Admission to the match is free. Stanford will follow up its Tuesday game with already scheduled matches at Cagan Stadium against UC Davis on Saturday, May 9 at 12 p.m. and Santa Clara on Thursday, May 21 at 7 p.m.
