Stanford Divers Impress At Spring Nationals

Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. - Despite the collegiate season coming to an end in March, the Stanford divers continue to compete with some outstanding results. Recently a trio of Stanford divers competed in the Speedo USA Diving Spring Nationals from April 22-26.
The Cardinal competed in the one and three-meter springboard competitions with great results.
'Both Dwight and Brent had great meets and Taylor qualified for semifinals and that was a great accomplishment for him,' said Stanford head diving coach, Rick Schavone.
Dwight Dumais built on his All-America collegiate season by placing second on both one-meter and three-meter. For his efforts, Dumais was chosen to compete in the World University games this summer.
Dumais just missed the title on three-meter with a score of 421.30 to trail only Kristian Ipsen of Diablo Divers who had 435.20. On one-meter Duamis scored 380.00 points to trail only Jonathan Wilcox of Longhorn Aquatics.
Brent Eichenseer dove extremely well for Stanford and is being considered for the World University Games. Eichenseer finished third on three-meter with a score of 401.70 to trail only his teammate Dumais and Ipsen. On one-meter, Sishc finished 12th with a score of 277.85.
The final Stanford diver to compete was Taylor Sishc, who qualified for the semifinals on one-meter, where he finished 13th with a score of 276.60. On three-meter, Sishc ended up 25th with a score of 264.45.
