PULLMAN, Wash. - Washington State men's golf junior Kevin Tucker has been selected to participate in the 2009 NCAA Division I Men's Golf Regional Championships, the NCAA announced today.

The Kennewick, Wash., native will travel south to compete at the par-72, 6,863-yard Lake Merced Golf Club in Daly City, Calif., May 14-16. He will be competing against 13 teams, as well as nine other individuals, vying for the right to advance to the NCAA Championships at the Inverness Club in Toledo, Ohio, May 26-30.

'The regional is Tucker's reward for a working hard this year, and we are really excited to still be playing for a chance to advance to the national competition,' said WSU Head Coach Walt Williams.

Tucker is the second Cougar in school history to be selected to the NCAA Regional Championships.
