The trials are set to last from May 14-17, at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colo. Ogwumike and Boothe will join Stanford teammates Jayne Appel, Kayla Pedersen and Jeanette Pohlen, who will be participating in trials for the USA Basketball World University Games Team at the same time.
The 2009 FIBA U19 World Championship is scheduled to take place from July 23 - August 2 in Bangkok, Thailand.
Finalists from next week's trials will reconvene in Colorado Springs for camp on July 8, with the 12-person roster being named shortly before the team departs for Thailand.
In 2008-09, both Ogwumike and Boothe turned in fine rookie seasons in The Farm, playing key roles in helping Stanford return to the Final Four for the second consecutive year in 2009.
Ogwumike was named to the Pac-10 All-Freshman Team after leading the team and the Pac-10 with a shooting percentage of 62.9, and averaging 10.6 points and 6.1 rebounds a game. The freshman from Cypress, Texas also posted six double-doubles on the year, highlighted by a career-best 27 points and 13 rebounds in an NCAA Tournament second-round victory over San Diego State.
Boothe, meanwhile, averaged 5.0 points and 2.7 rebounds a game while providing backup for All-American center Appel. The Gurnee, Ill. native appeared in all 38 games and shot 51.9 percent from the field while posting a double-double as well as a 16-point effort against USC on Jan. 29.
The USA Basketball U19 National Team will be led by Northern Illinois head coach Carol Owens, who will be assisted by Florida's Amanda Butler and Iowa State's Bill Fennelly.
