Box Score

Corvallis, Ore. – Senior Paige Lowe (Tustin, Calif.) and sophomore Audrey Roderfeld (Vista, Calif.) broke up Jennifer Martinez’s no-hitter with back-to-back singles in the bottom of the fourth, but the Oregon State softball team fell to No. 6 Arizona, 10-0, on Friday afternoon.

Oregon State put four runners on base after junior Tarah Black (Portland, Ore.) doubled in the bottom of the fifth and sophomore McKenna Lowe (Tustin, Calif.) reached in the first on an error by Martinez.

In the circle, junior Kelly Dyer (Eugene, Ore.) was charged with the loss after facing five batters in the first, making her record 11-18. Freshman Paige Hall (Portland, Ore.) threw 4.0 innings, fanning a pair. Redshirt freshman Karmen Holladay (Corvallis, Ore.) closed out the game in the circle.

“Paige Hall threw well today,” head coach Kirk Walker said. “She got a lot of groundballs and allowed only two or three hard-hit balls off of her in her four innings of work.”

Arizona’s Stacie Chambers led the Wildcat offense with her grand slam in the first inning. Martinez was the pitcher of record, improving to 10-4.

Oregon State closes out the season against No. 6 Arizona on Saturday at 12:00 p.m.
