May 14, 2009

LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- The Arizona softball team has arrived at their hotel in downtown Louisville, in preparation for the Regional round of the 2009 NCAA Softball Championship.

After leaving from McKale Center at 1:30 p.m., the team headed directly to the executive terminal at Tucson International Airport, where they boarded their charter ExpressJet flight and departed at 2:55 p.m.

A 3:12 minute direct flight to Louisville International Airport and a 15 minute bus ride placed the team in their hotel around 9:30 p.m. local time (ET).

A light rain has been falling around the Louisville metropolitan area, and the National Weather Service is predicting isolated and scattered thunderstorms through Saturday.

Still, the Wildcats will practice at 10:30 a.m. ET Thursday at Ulmer Stadium on the campus of the University of Louisville.

Up Next: The Cats will play their first game of the Regional round against the University of Tennessee at Martin at 4 p.m. ET (1 p.m. Tucson time) on Friday.
