TEMPE, Ariz. - The National Fastpitch Coaches Association has announced the Louisville Slugger/NFCA Division I All-Region teams, honoring student-athletes from 10 NFCA regions. A total of 264 players from 121 different institutions comprise the regional teams. Defending National Champions Arizona State laid claim to four first team Pacific Region members, which qualifies them for NFCA Division I All-America status to be announced later.

Representing the Maroon and Gold on the Pacific Region team is three-time first team All-American Kaitlin Cochran, 2008 NFCA Third Team member Krista Donnenwirth, and first time Pacific Region All-Americans Jessica Mapes and Hillary Bach.

The all-region teams were chosen by NFCA member coaches from each region, and all the honorees will now be eligible for selection to the Louisville Slugger/NFCA All-America first, second or third teams. In addition, conference pitchers and players of the year not selected to the regional teams were added for All-America consideration.

The NFCA Division I All-American teams will be announced at 4 p.m. Wednesday, May 27.
