Women's Tennis Match Reschedule to Begin at 3 p.m. Pacific

COLLEGE STATION, Texas - Inclement weather has forced changes to the NCAA Division I Men's and Women's Tennis Championships being held at the George P. Mitchell Tennis Center. The No. 8-ranked (ninth-seeded) California women's tennis team (20-4, 7-1 Pac-10) will face No. 1 and top-seeded Northwestern (28-1, 10-0 Big 10) at 3 p.m. PT.

Men's quarterfinal matches between No. 1 Virginia and No. 8 USC and No. 4 Georgia and No. 12 Texas were postponed and will resume Sunday (May 17) at 9 a.m. local time. The second session of men's matches between No. 2 Mississippi and No. 7 UCLA and No. 3 Ohio State and No. 6 Baylor were also postponed until Sunday at 11 a.m.

Moving the men's matches to Sunday morning has forced the Sunday sessions of women's quarterfinal matches to be pushed back to later in the day. No. 3 Duke and No. 6 Miami and No. 2 Georgia and No. 22 South Carolina will all square off at 2 p.m. At 5 p.m. (3 p.m. PT), No. 1 Northwestern will take on No. 9 California and No. 4 Baylor will be pitted against No. 5 Notre Dame.
