Pac-10 Q&A: Caleb Tommasini, Oregon Baseball

May 20, 2009

What were the deciding factors for you to switch from football to baseball in college?
My entire life baseball was my most successful sport. I chose to play football mainly because I wanted to prove I could. When baseball came to Oregon it was really a no brainer to give myself a shot at something I probably should have done out of high school.

What is the rivalry like at home with your brother, John, playing baseball at Oregon State?
The rivalry is fun. We trained together when we could in the offseason, and we got very competitive. My parents both went to Oregon so they have ties even though they now claim to be neutral. The rivalry was started probably back when my sisters played. One played softball at Oregon and the other at OSU.
