The top-ranked women's golf team has won the 2009 NCAA Championship, putting an exclamation point on a season that saw it win the Pac-10, NCAA West Regional and now national title in its final three tournaments.

Held at the par 72, 6,443-yard Caves Valley Golf Club in Owing Mills, Md., ASU won its sixth tournament of the year and its seventh NCAA title overall, as it won its first NCAA title in 1990 under Linda Vollstedt. It then won titles in 1993, 1994, 1995, 1997 and 1998. ASU also won national titles not recognized by the NCAA in 1959, 1960, 1961, 1962, 1963, 1964 and 1975.
