PAC-10 IN THE WCWS
All eight Pac-10 teams, at one time or another have competed in the Women's College World Series, with UCLA leading the way with 24 appearances. Of the teams competing this year, Arizona will be making its 21st appearance, while Arizona State and Washington are making their eighth and ninth, respectively. Both Arizona and Arizona State have made a habit of making the trip to Oklahoma City. Arizona is making its fifth consecutive WCWS appearance, while Arizona State is making it four in a row.

UCLA TAKES PAC-10 TITLE
The Bruins won their ninth Pac-10 title to secure the No. 2 overall seed in the NCAA Tournament. In four of its eight previous season it which it won the Conference title, UCLA also won the NCAA title (1988, 1989, 1990, 1999). After starting the Pac-10 season 1-4, the Bruins found their stride and concluded the Conference season going 15-1 to clinch the League championship.

NO-HIT WONDER
With her no-hitter of UCLA on Apr. 29, Washington ace Danielle Lawrie became the first pitcher in NCAA history to no-hit both UCLA and Arizona in the same season. The ASA Player of the Year and Pac-10 Pitcher of the Year no hit Arizona on April 3. In fact, Lawrie is the first pitcher to ever no-hit both Arizona and UCLA in a career.

On the season, Lawrie has thrown two no-hitters, four one-hitters and 10 two-hitters. She has also shut out: No. 1 Florida, No. 2 UCLA, No. 4 Alabama, No. 5 Stanford, No. 6 Arizona, No. 7 Michigan, No. 8 Georgia and No. 11 Ohio State.

26:  Total number of NCAA Softball National Champions since the organization recognized women's athletics in 1982.

20:  NCAA Championships won by Pac-10 Teams. UCLA (10), Arizona (8), Arizona State (1), California (1).

10:  WCWS championship games between two Pac-10 teams.

15:  Pac-10 NCAA Runners-Up. UCLA (7), Arizona (4), Washington (2), California (2).

2:   The number of times a Pac-10 team has not made it to the Women's College World Series finals (1983, 1986).

Pac-10 Tops the Polls
The Pac-10 leads the way in the final regular season USA Today/NFCA and ESPN.com/USA Softball polls with six teams ranked in the top-25, the most of any conference:

Pac-10: 6 ( UCLA, STAN, WASH, ASU, ARIZ, CAL)
SEC: 5 (FLA, ALA, UGA, TENN, LSU)
Big Ten: 3 (MICH, OSU, N.W.)
ACC: 3 (UNC, FSU, GA TECH)
Big 12: 2 (OKLA, MIZZ)
Big East: 2 (DePAUL, ND)

OUT OF THE PARK
With national home run leader Stacie Chambers' bomb in the third inning against Tennessee Martin on May 15, Arizona broke the Pac-10 and NCAA record for most home runs in the season. The Wildcats, who bested their own home run record of 126, set in 2001, now have 134 long balls after the weekend.

Chambers (31) and Jenae Leles (23) are currently ranked first and second in the nation and in the Pac-10 in home runs per game.

The Wildcats lead the country in home runs and have hit 46 more than the nation's second-best team Arizona State (86).

PAC-10 RECORD BREAKER
Arizona State's Kailtin Cochran continues to move up in the Pac-10 record books. The senior is currently ranked third in career walks with 230, third in total runs with 273, fifth in career batting average with .444, sixth in games played with 273, seventh in home runs, 69 and 10th in career RBI with 230 and 10th in career doubles, 54.

At the conclusion of her career, the Sun Devil has the ability to be the only Pac-10 player to be ranked in eight of the Conference's 11 offensive career records. No other player has been ranked in more than six categories.
